    Old Mission Capital, a global quantitative proprietary trading firm is recruiting a motivated individual to join our new Institutional Sales team in Chicago or NYC. In this role you will be a key resource in establishing Old Mission Capital as a leading market maker in the institutional ETF and electronic fixed income space. Successful candidates will have a proven track record of leadership, entrepreneurialism and creativity all while maintaining the highest ethical standards.


    In this role you will:

    • Generate and maintain new relationships with the institutional buy side and retail distribution channels.
    • Initial priorities will focus heavily upon prospecting new clients – both known prospects the firm determines it wants to do business with and new clients you suggest yourself.
    • Represent Old Mission Capital at industry events and conferences.
    • Help build a modern CRM solution where our sales team collaborates with clients, each other, and the trading desk in a highly concise and data-driven manner
    • Support the trading desk with client communication and color during the trading day
    • Support clients with execution and trading help at various points in the trading life cycle
    • Responsible for all client facing tasks that will support the bond business
    • Travel to existing and prospective clients.
    • Maintain Old Mission’s culture of compliance and the highest ethical standards.


    What You'll Need to Be Successful

    • A wide network of existing relationships with buy side fixed income investors
    • Undergraduate degree from an accredited institution.
    • A minimum of 5+ years of Institutional Fixed Income Sales experience is required.
      • Experience supporting an electronic trading desk or platform is a plus
    • Proficient using Excel, Bloomberg, CRM software
      • Any additional technology or programming experience will be highly valued
    • Qualified candidates will require strong analytical skills to analyze and interpret various market data in support of both the trading desk and client execution needs.

    • Personality which easily accepts a fast moving environment and understands an entitled client base
    • Clear and concise communication skills including a deep understanding of financial industry terminology and communication methods
    • Desire to work in a small collaborative and highly entrepreneurial environment where the team’s success will be closely tied to the performance of all individuals and the team synergy
    • Strong operational experience (client documentation processes, settlements, clearing support) is a plus
