    Old Mission Capital, a global quantitative proprietary trading firm is recruiting a motivated individual to lead our Institutional Sales team in Chicago. The Head of Institutional Sales will be a key resource in establishing Old Mission Capital as a leading market maker in the institutional ETF and fixed income space. Successful candidates will have a proven track record of leadership, entrepreneurialism and creativity all while maintaining the highest ethical standards.

     

    Responsibilities

    In this role you will:

    • Develop a strategic business plan that will allow Old Mission to expand our liquidity network to institutional counterparties in ETF’s and fixed income.
    • Manage a team that will be responsible for all client facing tasks and all sales support calls.
    • Prospect new clients, expand existing relationships with clients, issuers, and other market participants (e.g.: attend conferences, presentations, and other engagements)
    • Consult with clients and traders on full trade life cycle best practices (pre-trade analysis, execution of trade, post-trade analysis).
    • Provide analysis of market trends/conditions.
    • Travel to existing and prospective clients as needed.
    • Maintain Old Mission’s culture of compliance and the highest ethical standards.

    Qualifications

    What You'll Need to Be Successful

    • Undergraduate degree from an accredited institution.
    • A minimum of 7+ years of trading and/or sales experience with Exchange Traded Funds or fixed income products.
    • Qualified candidates will require strong analytical skills to analyze and interpret various market data and apply such information to written and oral presentations.
    • Proficient using Excel and Bloomberg, coding experience is preferred but not a must.
    • Dynamic personality along with clear and concise communication and has the ability to work well in a small collaborative team.
    • Desire to build a business
    • Ability to travel as needed for the firm
    • Strong operational skills is a plus
