    Old Mission Capital is a global quantitative trading firm with offices in Chicago, New York City and London. In the competitive world of electronic trading, we use quantitative techniques and advanced technology to identify profitable trading opportunities around the globe. We are looking to hire a trading/operations associate to join our team in NYC and work under the direction of our senior traders.

    Responsibilities

    What you’ll do:

    • Support a team of quantitative traders with daily interactions across multiple business units, including front office, IT, accounting and compliance
    • You will own and be responsible for all trade processing (breaks, fails, reconciling PnL for the trade desk)
    • Handling all daily/intraday trade and position reconciliation
    • Perform ad hoc project work as needed or assigned
    • Must be willing to help out with any general office administration (e.g.: clerical, etc.)
    • Successful candidates will have a passion for the financial markets and will be extremely organized as the team is growing and this individual will be a key resource in supporting the trade desk operations.

    Qualifications

     

    What you’ll need:

    • Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree preferably in a quantitative field such as computer science, engineering, or one of the hard sciences.
    • Candidates must be proficient in Excel and have experience with one of the following languages: Python, SQL, C++, VBA, R.
    • Candidates must have 1 year of relevant operations experience, supporting a trading desk is preferred.
    • Superior communication both written and verbal and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a time sensitive, fast paced, collaborative, collegial environment.
    • Candidates must be detail oriented and very organized
    • The ability to work and solve problems as part of a team, often in a high-pressure environment.
    • Proven trustworthiness and performance under the highest ethical standards;
